Administrative Office Specialist

Administrative Office Specialist offers a broad foundation of knowledge and skills expanding the traditional role of the Administrative Assistant. This program prepares students for entry level employment as file clerks, general office clerks, secretaries, and administrative assistants. The content includes, but is not limited to, office procedures, software applications, and production work. The program focuses on transferable skills and stresses understanding and demonstration of the following elements of the office support services industry: planning, management, finance, technical and production skills, underlying principles of technology, labor issues, community issues, and health, safety, and environmental issues. The minimum grade level required by the state for program completers is 10.0 in reading, language, and math.

Program Costs
The cost for the 1050 clock hours is $2.78 per hour totaling $2,919.00 plus a $75.00 lab fee per semester. The total cost for textbooks is $900.00. This does not cover any additional program costs. Pell Grant available.
