Pell Grants

Financial Aid

PELL Grants are awards to help students pay for their education after high school. For many students, these grants provide a "foundation" of financial aid to which aid from other sources may be added. Unlike loans, grants do not have to be paid back.

Changes in Federal Aid Regulations

Students will be limited to 6 years of full-time Pell Grant eligibility, or its equivalent, known as Pell Lifetime Eligibility Usage. Students who have exceeded 5 years of eligibility will have reduced Pell Grant eligibility. Students who have received Pell Grants for 6 or more years of full-time enrollment or its equivalent will have no Pell Grant eligibility.

Veterans

Most programs at the Bradford-Union Area Career Technical Center are approved for veterans training. Questions regarding eligibility should be directed to the Veteran's Approval Agency of Florida, at 1-(888) 442-4551, or you may contact Financial Aid Assistant at (904) 966-6765.

Veterans who receive educational benefits for attending classes at BUACTC are expected to maintain standards in the areas of (1) attendance (2) conduct and (3) progress.
